Columbia Real Estate

Columbia, Tennessee, the county seat of Maury, is full of small-town charm and community spirit. Columbia's rich history dates back to 1817, when the town was incorporated into Maury County. At one time, Columbia was the hub of the most agriculturally wealthy county in the state. Today, the town is known for its abundance of historical attractions, which draw folks from all over the area. Some of these attractions include the James K. Polk Ancestral Home, the Columbia Athenaeum, Mount Pleasant Phosphate Museum, and The Athenaeum Rectory. Notably, many famous Americans hail from Columbia, including James K. Polk, A.O.P. Nicholson, state senator, U.S. Senator, and Chief Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court, and Fran McKee, the first female line admiral in the U.S. Navy, to name just a few.
